1. You can use a detangling brush on either dry or damp hair, but it generally works best on slightly damp hair, like after a shower.


2. If your hair is wet, gently pat it dry with a towel to remove excess moisture.


3. Before using the brush, use your fingers or a wide-toothed comb to gently remove any large knots or tangles.


4. If you have particularly stubborn tangles or knots, you can apply a detangling spray or a leave-in conditioner to your hair.


5. Hold the detangling brush in your dominant hand, and hold a section of your hair with your other hand to provide some tension.


6. Begin brushing your hair at the tips or ends and work your way up towards the roots.


7. Use gentle, even strokes with the brush, moving through your hair slowly.


8. If you encounter resistance or feel a tangle, stop, and gently work through it with the brush or your fingers.


9. Avoid yanking or pulling forcefully, as this can damage your hair.
