"I wanna start by saying I have 4b hair texture. I attempted to use this as an edge control and a retwisting gel for my locs and it sucks either way. The hold is not ""ultimate"" and it turns white."

"I’m glad that people are trying to be diverse with hair . I like the fact that this same with in a pretty good size , and the design is nice . However the product wasn’t pleasant . The smell is good , but the texture isn’t at all. I tried one loc , and it didn’t do anything . Couldn’t even slick my edges . I don’t recommend. If it could hold my course hair that would be better , but it made no difference. It feels like Vaseline. I don’t know if anyone with locs can make this manageable, because it doesn’t do anything. Maybe for someone with curly/ wavy hair ."

"This ultimate hold wax didn’t do it for me. I love the way it smells, that it’s made with organic black castor oil and that it’s light, but I think it might be too light. It doesn’t hold like I like and it doesn’t keep the curls/edges laid. In my opinion, this isn’t a good gel for a twist with no style."

"I have coarse hair and this wax pulled those stubborn hairs together at the roots. I haven’t noticed any flaking and the scent isn’t strong. I normally shy away from wax because of fear of buildup but this one is holding up well so far!"
Great Hold
"This products has a nice scent, consistency and good amount of hold. I have fine hair so I use gels most of the time. This product would be EXCELLENT for thicker, drier textured hair. I also use something like this in between wash days to retwist my hair when it’s not as wet. This is also great for my husbands shorter hair that he uses a curling sponge on. He does not have locs but he likes the texture that loc products give his hair when she curls it up and his hair type needs something strong holding."

"I love how my hair still is neat. It been two weeks my hair grew but my retwist have not loosing up it still in place along with new grow I love. I love the smell and the texture. The packaging is beautiful. I will buy again. It also has the ingredients I love in it also."

"I truly had a great experience with this product. I had never heard of it prior to the Vox Box. Even though it is a wax it didn’t leave behind a residue or white cast like so many other products I have tried. It left my hair shiny and moisturized yet it held my extremely thick locs together. I will absolutely be adding this to my out of pocket routine."

"When doing my locs i noticed that it held for that moment but after drying and clip removal it just wasnt up to my standards. My hair looks retwisted but they look like a week old retwist a day later. Has a good smell. Like the texture because its a more firm paste type locking gel and not a jelly"
